The Japanese painting technique, sumi-e, is perfectly suited to capture the spirit and energy of dance, yoga, cats, even landscapes.
Using brush and ink, the image goes down on paper in a matter of seconds.
Kathleen has been studying this technique, as well as Japanese/Chinese calligraphy for more than ten years. Her sumi-e work has been shown throughout the Upper Valley and been featured in numerous publications. She also paints in oils.
